OVERALL SCARY

GORE

As is expected with Kubrick at this point in his career, he reinvented every genre he touched, and The Shining is the master's incredible contribution to the horror genre.

A modern masterpiece in every sense. No excessive gore. Barely any jumpscares to be found. Slow and deliberate, impeccably crafted.

OVERALL SCARY

GORE

One of the scariest films of all time. Jack Nicholson has one of the best performances in horror movie history. Isolation mixed with an utter state of abandonment from the only person who can keep you safe, makes a for a terrifying plot. The music in this film is some of the most terrifying in horror movie history. Some argue this film is a bit outdated, I couldn't disagree more.
